Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains the information LoveMatcha processes to provide dating and matchmaking features, the choices available to members, and how account deletion works.

LoveMatcha is developed and operated under the SPT LABS studio brand. Privacy questions may be sent to support@lovematcha.me.

1. Information you provide

Depending on how you use LoveMatcha, this can include:

• account information such as email and authentication data;
• profile information such as first name, age, city, pronouns, occupation, education, hometown, languages, biography, and interests;
• dating preferences and other information you choose to provide about yourself or the people you want to meet;
• profile photos and prompts;
• Match Circle relationships, role permissions, recommendations, and private recommendation notes;
• likes, introductions, matches, and private messages;
• blocks, reports, appeals, and safety-related submissions.

2. Information generated when you use LoveMatcha

LoveMatcha may process technical and operational information needed to keep the service working and secure, such as timestamps, request status, security events, rate-limit activity, and privacy-conscious analytics.

LoveMatcha's current error telemetry is designed not to transmit message bodies, profile text, passwords, cookies, authentication tokens, CAPTCHA values, or form contents. Route identifiers that look like user IDs are redacted before analytics/error logging.

3. Why we process information

• create and maintain accounts;
• show appropriate discovery candidates and profile cards;
• support dater-controlled matchmaking and Match Circles;
• deliver likes, introductions, matches, and messaging;
• operate blocking, reporting, moderation, and abuse prevention;
• secure accounts and detect misuse;
• maintain, debug, and improve service reliability;
• comply with legal obligations and valid legal process.

4. Visibility and sharing inside LoveMatcha

LoveMatcha uses permission and privacy boundaries to limit which data other members can see. A person helping in a Match Circle does not automatically receive access to a dater's private conversations. Private recommendation notes are for the dater and are not shown to the recommended candidate.

5. Service providers

LoveMatcha relies on infrastructure and security providers to operate the service. Current infrastructure includes Supabase for backend database/authentication services, Vercel for application hosting and privacy-conscious web analytics, and Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection. Providers process information only as needed to provide their services to LoveMatcha and subject to their applicable terms.

6. Selling or sharing personal information

LoveMatcha is not designed around selling member profile, dating, message, or Match Circle information. If LoveMatcha later adopts advertising or data-sharing practices that create additional privacy rights or disclosures, this policy and the product controls must be updated before those practices begin.

7. Data retention

LoveMatcha keeps information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, protect members, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce policies. Different categories can have different retention periods.

When you request account deletion, the account currently enters a 30-day deletion period. If you do not cancel the request, LoveMatcha begins permanent purging after the deletion becomes due. Limited safety, abuse-prevention, transaction, or legal records may be retained when necessary even after account deletion.

8. Security

LoveMatcha uses technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect member information, including authentication, row-level access controls, rate limiting, CAPTCHA protection, private-data boundaries, and moderation controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices

Depending on your account and location, you may be able to update profile information, change dating preferences, pause discoverability, block or report users, leave or change Match Circle relationships, request account deletion, and exercise privacy rights provided by applicable law.

10. Adults only

LoveMatcha is intended only for people 18 and older and is not intended for children.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as LoveMatcha changes. Material changes should be communicated through the service or another appropriate channel before they take effect.
