Dating always involves judgment and risk. LoveMatcha provides privacy, blocking, reporting, and moderation tools, but technology cannot replace your own safety decisions.

Before meeting

• Take time to get to know the person through the app.
• Be cautious if someone quickly asks you to move to an unmoderated channel.
• Never send money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or financial credentials to someone you have not independently verified.
• Be cautious with people who pressure you to keep the relationship secret from friends or family.

Meeting in person

• Meet in a populated public place for early dates.
• Tell someone you trust where you are going.
• Control your own transportation when possible.
• Leave whenever you feel unsafe or uncomfortable. You do not owe anyone continued contact.

Consent

Consent must be voluntary and can be withdrawn. A match, date, relationship, prior sexual contact, recommendation from a friend, or matchmaker introduction is never blanket consent.

Blocking and reporting

Use LoveMatcha's block and report tools when someone violates your boundaries or the Community Guidelines. Blocking may end an existing connection and prevent further in-app interaction.

Emergency situations

LoveMatcha is not an emergency service. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis or law-enforcement resource in your area.

Intimate images shared without consent

LoveMatcha prohibits nonconsensual intimate imagery, including real, manipulated, and AI-generated images. A dedicated public removal-request process is available so a person can request removal without needing a LoveMatcha account.
